The units of Botulinum toxin used should vary depending on the different injected areas. Here are the basic recommendations for Botox units from the manufacturer BOTOX® Cosmetic:
- For glabellar lines: 20 Units
- For lateral canthal lines: 24 Units
- For forehead lines with glabellar lines: 40 Units
- For simultaneous treatment of lateral canthal lines and glabellar lines: 44 Units
- For simultaneous treatment of lateral canthal lines, glabellar lines, and forehead lines: 64 Units
During the practice, your provider may slightly adjust the amounts depending on your specific conditions.
